Awesome Concerts Around The Nation To End Your Year

By Elana Goodwin on November 14, 2015

It’s already mid-November, which means 2015 is quickly coming to an end — but there’s still plenty of time left in November and December to hit up some awesome concerts and finish your year off right.

Here are some of the awesome concerts and artists you’ll want to grab tickets for, to catch live before 2016 starts.

Ellie Goulding. The English singer-songwriter just released her third studio album, “Delirium” on November 6, and is currently on tour. The album included the hit song “Love Me Like You Do” which was featured on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie soundtrack, as well as the single “On My Mind.” If you’re not able to catch one of her concerts in early December, Goulding will be back touring in the States starting in April 2016 after she completes the Europe leg of her tour.

Miley Cyrus. The former Disney star independently released her fifth studio album, “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz” for free on the online streaming site SoundCloud at the end of August. She will be on a short tour, called the Milky Milky Milk Tour in November and December with a handful of concert dates at various venues across the U.S.

At each of her concerts, she’ll be joined by The Flaming Lips and Dan Deacon. According to recent news, Cyrus and The Flaming Lips are planning one show where the performers and audience are all completely naked … So unless you’re wanting to do that, be careful what concert you try to attend!

The Weeknd. Canadian singer-songwriter Abel Makkonen Tesfaye — better known as “The Weeknd” – released his second studio album, “Beauty Behind the Madness” in August. It features the hit songs “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” both of which reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The album also includes the song “Earned It” which was featured on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie soundtrack. The Weeknd is currently on his The Madness Fall Tour, with concert dates in November and December across the U.S. and Canada, with openers Halsey & Banks and Travis Scott.

James Bay. The English singer-songwriter released his debut studio album, “Chaos and the Calm” in March, which featured the two hit songs “Hold Back the River” and “Let It Go.” The album hit number one in the UK and went to number 15 in the U.S.

He’s currently on his Chaos and the Calm Tour with opening bands Frances or Cloves, depending on the concert date. In the past, he’s toured as an opener for Hozier on his 2014 tour and Taylor Swift on the 2015 European leg of her 1989 tour.

O.A.R. The American rock band has been on their Back to Rockville tour since this summer and have concerts continuing through December across the U.S. Their eighth studio album, The Rockville LP, was released in June 2014, and included the songs “Peace” and “Favorite Song.” Opening for the band are singers Allen Stone and Brynn Elliott. I saw O.A.R. live at Ohio State a few years ago (all five band members attended the Ohio State University) and they were phenomenal live, so catching them in concert will definitely be money well-spent.

iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball. The Jingle Ball is an annual set of concerts which start in December. The 2015 Jingle Ball show will hit 11 cities across the U.S. with slightly different acts included in the lineup depending on the tour date. Some of the artists in this year’s lineup are Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, One Direction, Nick Jonas, The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Fall Out Boy, 5 Seconds of Summer, Hailee Steinfeld, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, DNCE, Tove Lo, R. City, Fifth Harmony, Zedd, and Alessia Cara. No matter which of these artists are coming to a venue near you, the Jingle Ball is sure to be an awesome set of concerts you won’t want to miss this year.

There’s still over a month and a half left of 2015 which means you’ve got plenty of time to pack in lots of good music and some live concerts. And even if you’re not able to make a show before the year’s end, there are a number of 2016 tours being announced every day, so you can get a jump on concert tickets for next year.
